Agenda

Africa Works! 2024

The 6th edition of the NABC's flagship conference Africa Works! will take place on the 23rd of April at the Royal Tropical Institute - KIT in Amsterdam.

About the event: Africa Works!

Since its initial edition, NABC’s flagship event Africa Works! has grown into the largest Africa-focused business conference in the Benelux. With an average of 400 visitors and 30% of the participants from Africa, it is THE place where the Dutch private sector meets Africa.

This year, “Africa’s Green Industrialisation - Made in Africa” is the overarching theme we have chosen for the sixth edition of Africa Works! with a focus on green solutions which aim to decouple economic growth from environmental harm. Africa Works! 2024 will explore sustainable economic diversification and opportunities linked to three themes:

  1. Circular Food Production (regenerative approaches to food production and repurposing waste streams in the agro-processing sector).
  2. Renewable Energy (alternative energy sources for the energy transition and advanced waste-to-energy technologies).
  3. Sustainable Agro-logistics (efficient cold chains and sustainable transportation systems).

To maximise the potential partnerships and collaborations between African and European companies and organisations, the 2024 edition of Africa Works! will once again welcome strong African delegations with concrete investment opportunities and projects for partnerships and cooperation.

Africa Works! aims to:

  • Make visible the investment and trade opportunities in different African countries;
  • Connect Dutch/European companies with competent authorities, and businesses from Africa;
  • Accelerate strategic partnerships between businesses;
  • Facilitate Public-Private-Partnerships;
  • Connect (international) investors with opportunities across Africa;
  • Enable SMEs and start-ups to find alternative financing solutions; and
  • Much more!
